The hog roast experience

A spit roast is an ideal way of celebrating birthdays,  Weddings, anniversaries, christenings and retirement. And let’s not forget Christmas and Easter, Halloween and Bonfire Nights. The list of events or occasions where a hog roast is ideal is endless. Let us here at Coastal Roasters take care of the hard work and stress of holding a party at your home or venue of your choice, this will leave you free to enjoy the company of your family, friends and guests.

Meat selection

Each Hog or Lamb we use is individually selected for quality, size and weight by the farmer so that the delicious, succulent flavour is 100% every time.

You can also have whole New Romney lamb, Aberdeen Angus prime beef or Kentish corn fed chickens, plain, piri piri or Jerked seasoning.

Our exotic range of meats include wild boar and venison with their distinctive flavours, or try pheasant or goose. if you our customer would like any other meat not listed here please contact us to inquire about the possibility.

Hire of Roasting Machine complete with free-range Kentish Pig(ex head) spiked, scored and seasoned, gas bottle, delivered, collected and set up.

Machines are easy and efficient to use. Upon delivery we will give you a full working demo and tips on how best to carve. £350.00

  • Q Can we try your Hog Rolls locally?
    If you would like to try our Hog Rolls why not come along to one of the public events we go to in Thanet and the South East each year. These Include Broadstairs Food Festival, Nelson park Riding Centre open day, Car and Military show at Quex Park Birchington, Craft and food festival also at Birchington, Ramsgate Squall, and Hernbay Sci Fi event to name but a few.
  • Q Will the machine fit through my gateway?
    Yes our machines have been designed with this in mind and they will go through a standard size.(28" is the narrowest)
  • Q How long will the meat take to cook?
    Pig - 6 to 7 hrs depending on the size of the pig, lamb - 2.5 to 3hrs depending on the size of the lamb ( and how rare you like your lamb) , beef - 3hrs, chickens and turkeys - 2 to 3 hrs.
  • Q How many will it feed?
    You give us approx number we are catering for and we supply the correct amount of meat to suit.
  • Q How much will it cost?
    We tailor make a catering package to suit your budget
  • Q Are you registered?
    Yes we are registered with local environmental officers, trading standards and have HACCP familiarization in place.
  • Q Do you have insurance?
    We have public liability and other insurances, gas safe certificates in place in order to operate.
  • Q What do I need to provide?
    All we need you to do is have a flat area 3m x3m square for us to set up on and to erect our cover which goes over the entire carvery – come rain or shine. Other than that we are self-contained. We do not need power for our Machine and we bring our own tables etc.
  • We need to securely store your data temporarily to allow us to contact you and respond to your enquiry. We won't use your personal information to contact you for any reasons other than responding to your enquiry, or pass it on to third parties in accordance with our privacy policy. Your data will be removed from our systems upon such time as we no longer require it to fulfil the purpose of this form, or after 365 days, whichever is sooner.
